The reason why you don't see evil things done with the Patriot Act because like I said in my post very few individuals are trusted with the ability to hack into individuals lives. There are also ways to be around house arrest, if there is a terrorist they have to be intellegent, therefor I'm sure they can get around a house arrest brace.

We don't know all of the terrorist attacks that have happened and that act being passed. For example, what if it were a minor attack something so small that there were no need to publisize it and the Patriot Act helped. American's don't know EVERYTHING that goes on in this world, especially on terrorists, it would just make people want to move away from America. Only a select few are graced with this liberty of knowing.

People tend to complain and say that it's my privacy, it's what I want to do, but if you are doing noble acts and right things, why would you be ashamed of your actions or what you're doing? If it were someone that were a threat to you, you would want everything humanly possible to stop that person or to seek if they were doing any actions that were terrorist like. Plus two, if you're really worried about your personal privacy issues, then you can say no to a house, car, etc. search it is one of the ammendments that says a right to privacy unless a warrant is issued.

Shakespeare's work is difficult to comprehend, but if you have the creativity lodged in your brain you will think not only on the literal level, but all of the other things that underly the text. If you're able to underly the text you would be able to have this ability in future tasks ahead. People will see that there is something that sets you apart from others, you'll have more to offer, more than one point of view. I mean give Shakespeare a break, he did invent words we use today after all.

I like how you showed both sides as towards leadership skills.

Women had to work for their rights and where we are today, I totally agree with you, Mackenzie.

Woman are engendered to be leaders, once they have children they are encouraged to push their children into the right direction. I'm not saying that men aren't capable of raising children the right way because I have many friends with only a dad, but women were originated in the beginning of time to be house-wifes. Women had to work for our suffrage to become voters, to have a job, and to be held up to men's expectations. So doesn't working up to our suffrage give us some brownie points on the leadership scale? Men didn't have to work for their suffrage, it was just blessed upon them.

Torute is cruel and unusual punishment that is never necessary, I understand that people do bad things that should never go unsolved, but don't acquiesce to the abominable effects or ways of torture. It may have everlasting, inadequate, effects on a person.

1 point

I agree when you say too much of a good thing can be bad because then you start picking out the negatives in people.

2 points

I agree, people that I fear, I feel completely uncomfortable around and never want to be around them because of that fear.
