Many people might think profiling is offensive; however, it is a fast and simple way to keep our airports, airplanes, and most importantly ourselves safe. This Christmas in Amsterdam, if profiling had been used then, the bomber from Nigeria wouldn't have been able to fly and the situation that he had created would have been prevented. Out of all the other security measures, that airports and the security agencies use, profiling would be the fastest and simplest because they could just enter in the name of the person and it could tell the airports whether or not that person is a security risk. The process of profiling would make things easier because people wouldn't have to wait in long lines and money wise it would be beneficial because it wouldn't require a lot of man-power, the only thing that airports would need are a computer at each of the security check-points. Profiling along with other security measures can dramatically help increase the safety of our airports and reduce situations like the one created during Christmas.

We are all human beings and we should treat each other as such. Amnesty International explictly prohibits the technique of torture. For example the Bush administration faced alot of heat on the issue of water-boarding of "alleged" terror suspects. Using torture on someone isn't humane, no matter what they've done or what they're suspected of doing because in the end we're all human.

In the Constitution, the first Amendment gurantees us freedom of expression. Being able to choose the school of their choice allows students to excercise this right. Students know more about themselves than their parents or teachers do and so allowing them to choose the high school of their choice will make them happier and they will work harder because they are doing something they like. Meaning if a student was big on art then they should be allowed to go to a high school that has a good art department rather than having to go a school with a cruddy art department that their parents chose because they will work harder and do better at the school with the good art department because they are doing something they like.

It depends on the president, if the president is good and his policies make the US better than he should definitely be allowed to serve as many terms as he is capable of. Franklin D. Roosevelt served 4 terms and he got the US out of the Great Depression with his "New Deal" and led us through World War II. If the president can lead the nation strongly and allow it to bettern itself they why should there be a limit on how many terms he can serve?

Illegal immigrants come into the US and take the jobs of many Americans because they work for less pay. In an atmosphere of a reccession this is a really bad thing because Americans right now need to keep their jobs so that the unemployment rate will decrease and the economy can become stable again. Illegal immigration isn't fair to all the other people who want to come to the US but aren't able to. If people from other countries want to immigrate to the US then they should do it the proper way and complete all the required paperwork and pay all the fees to get in, if they don't then they should be sent back home.

People in developing countries, most of the time, depend on the environement for their daily bread, if something happend to the environment then wouldn't be able to survive.

Only if the developed countries are doing something to protect the evironment they should then be able to force developing countries to protect the environment. If the developed countries aren't doing anything then they shouldn't be a hyprocrite and tell developing countires to protect the evironment when they themselves are not doing anything. Most devloped countries have more than enough resources to help protect the environment and if they aren't doing anything then why in the world should they expect developing countries with less resources to help the environment. If developed countries are consciously making an effort to help the environment then they should force developing countries so that the two can work together to protect what is left of our environment.

Today America is a place where both men, women, and people of different races are guaranteed their basic rights. Yes we did make big mistakes in our past but we're doing something about it so we can have a bright future. Most people today who are from different countries like Sudan, Iraq, or North Korea think of America as heaven because things are soo bad in their country because genocide is going on or road side bombs are going off or the government keeps their people malnourished. These people wouldn't care about America's past because America is doing something to make up for its mistake and it is creating a bright future for itself.
