We all have equal freedoms, though some people cannot be trusted plain and simple. i think if you're suspicious enough to attract government attention, and if they are willing to spend time and money on them to monitor their actions, i say, let them have at it. With good reason of course, simply monitoring someone because they can without any real cause is just wrong, i say they'd have to be pretty convinced with evidence that they could be, in some way, harmful to our country.
i believe if you have a lousy father, one of two things could happen depending on yourself and how you view things. First, you could grow up to be no better than him, following his footsteps, making the same mistakes. The second however, is the opposite, you grow up, see his mistakes, learn from them, and you become the better man. I have personally learned that from my brother. I watched him grow up, and i saw all of his mistakes he made when he was younger, smoking, sneaking out, doing drugs, getting arrested for stupid things and more. I made it my personal goal to never do the things he did, to never smoke, do drugs, or get into the trouble like him. So i say it's all depending on your attitude towards it. In the end every kid needs a father, near or far, real or just some type of father figure.
You should know the type of person you gave your heart to. You know whether you married a selfish murderer. I would never marry someone like that. i would know it was a complete selfless act, to protect herself or someone she loved. People make mistakes, and life goes on. On the other hand if it was a selfish act like revenge or for personal gain, i would have to consider it. For no good, honest person could do that. It would change my total perspective on the person. I'd first go to my best friends for their opinions before authorities, thats who i trust the most, and their opinions matter most to me.
I definately think it should be continued to be studied in highschool. His work displays emotions, and themes that everyone should expirence. I think it brings a whole new level of comprehension to students who have read his works. Also, it brings out a great range of vocabulary in students. His plays still enspire people today, in their writing and movies. Taking shakespeare out of the curriculum would be a terrible idea.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
