Students shouldn't have to go to ASI just for not doing a little assignment. If they don't want to do their work then that's their problem. I honestly think teachers should just put in a 0 for the missing assignment. All teachers care about is getting good grades. They never think about the students' lives outside of school. Some kids have a lot of after school activities to do and might forget about homework. Other kids might have a lot on their plate dealing with family issues, so those kids could have more important things on their mind rather than remembering to do homework. It also gets super overwhelming when teachers pile on homework, so students get stressed out about getting it all done. When this happens, we forget about some homework we were suppose to do. There are a lot of reasons that students have for not completing their homework. Although some kids deliberately don't do their homework. This is why I believe students should not have to go to ASI when they don't complete an assignment.
