The police alone are not prepared to stop a well planned and thought out criminal act. For example, 9/11 may have been planned months even years ahead of time, but when the time came it was too late to stop the terrorist attack. I still think people should have their freedom and privacy, so letting people be aware of what is considered "suspicious activity" would let them know if their being watched.

American law enforcment isnt prepared to stop a well planned and thought out criminal act. 9/11 for example could not be stopped by police, but if suspcious activities had been caught and closely monitored we could have had a better chance of stopping the terrorist attack. Although, I do feel that people should be allowed to know what is considered "suspicious activuty".

For the most part no I wouldnt turn her in but, it really depends on the situation. If I talked to my wife and felt that she was crazy and might go do it again then yes I would turn her in. It also depends on who it was, if it was someone else who I cared alot about like a family member then I would aswell, but anything outside of those situations I would not turn her in. I would think different of her and my feelings would change.

Well personally I think that personal pursuit is better. No reason really, I just feel that I can help the people I care about most if im looking out for myself instead of the whole world. If i focus on my goals then someday I may be able to give my family what they have always dreamed about in return helping me even more.

I think that there are experts out there who have studied much more than any high school student and are much more qualified to know what the advantages of studying shakespeare in high school are. My experience in school with shakespeare has not been a bad one, and I have become more informed to the culture of the English language.

Isnt that the whole purpose of education?

A man locked in a closet gets daily visits. Not for food, but to get his daily beatings. Three years have past and he feels like all his freedom has been stripped away. The same man experiences a different day. Instead of someone walking in with a whip, they bring him a meal. This continues for the next few days. Although this man is still locked in a dark closet he now feels free.

Freedom:

1. the state of being free or at liberty rather than in confinement or under physical restraint.

2. the power to determine action without restraint.

I feel that freedom can either be chosen by yourself or given by others, but in the end the choice is still yours. You can let yourself be controlled by others, but at the same time have total freedom in your mind. "What's been done to you," has no affect on your freedom.

The reason I think its better to be respected is because with respect you could work your way up and have the oppurtunity to be wealthy. Every one knows that the only thing better then being just respected or just wealthy is being both wealthy and to be respected.
