The government is only limited to the amount of information given from individuals. The input given can only derive from the information that the public produces and the word of the spoken. I feel that the government should not be able to monitor suspicious individuals because it is a choice that the individuals have made. I believe that keeping up with today’s society and crime records, the government already knows of the negative side. Throughout my lifetime, I have seen several individuals who have made bad decisions but they learn from them. The crime rate has gone up, but the government has found ways to protect society as a whole. Monitoring individuals only shows that the government is weak and can’t protect the other citizens like they have been doing for a long time. We, as citizens of the United States, have rights that we are given when we were born and to invade our privacy is wrong. I feel that the government should not be allowed to secretly monitor suspicious individuals.

I believe that every child looks up to their father to be a role model, a mentor, and a guide. Although that might mean that you will not have a father to look up to, I would rather have no father than to have a lousy father. I would not want to live in a house with a father that doesn’t have a job, does nothing to provide for his family, and just sits at home being a bum. Being fatherless doesn’t have to mean that someone can’t take that “father figure” place in your life; you could have an uncle, grandfather, best friend’s dad, or just a close personal friend. I know in my life, I have never had a father. I haven’t seen or heard from my father since I was about 2 years old because he didn’t want me as a baby. It does bother me almost every single day, but I get to thinking that if he didn’t want me in his life, then I don’t know if I would want him in mine. I do have best friend’s dad and uncles that have taken over as a “father figure,” but I think I would be more at peace if it was my own dad. I do believe that I would rather be fatherless than have a lousy dad in my life. I know it is a hard thing to deal with, but I would rather have no father than to have a dad that doesn’t care about anything.

I would turn them in because murder is a crime; whether they meant to do it or not, they still did it. Although that person is my husband, I would turn them in. Murder is not something that you play around with, but is something that people take very seriously. I know that in some cases, murder can be well thought out, but in others it is something you do at the "drop of a hat." If I found out that my husband had killed somebody, whether that person was someone I knew or not, I would still turn him in to the police but I wouldn't give record that it was me that snitched on him. I would just leave it as an anonymous person and then secretly help the police capture him.

I think that a personal pursuit is better because it comes off of your own experience. When you are doing tasks that are not advancing to become something else, you can learn better from them. For an example, if you wanted to try to run for class president and people are pressuring you, a lot of the times, you will be bummed and others will think that you let them down. But if you were doing it only for a more personal goal, you might open up to a level of opportunities that you might succeed in. Likewise, I think that when you are doing things for others, you are more likely to not succeed up to your standards, but if you set your goals yourself, then you will feel better about the results in the end.

I would have to say that I agree with this statement because in order to have freedom, you must first open yourself up to the world. With the freedom, comes the responsibility of having that freedom. In the statement is says, ". . .what you do with what's been done to you," I don't think that that means that your freedom could either be a good thing or a bad thing, but it is simply a law that we have. A saying that a friend showed me stated, "Attempted to reconcile his existentialist ideas about free will with communist principles, which taught that socio-economic forces beyond our immediate individual control play a critical role in shaping our lives." I believe that the shaping of our lives is formed by the role that we play in out lives, others' lives, etc. In conclusion, I agree with this statement that Jean-Paul Sartre stated.

The definition of respect is esteem for or a sense of the worth or excellence of a person, a personal quality or ability, or something considered as a manifestation of a personal quality or ability. According to the definition, I feel that it is better to be well respected because I feel that people know you more on a personal level. When you are wealthy, most people focus on the aspect that they know that your wealthy, therefore they are more likely to use you for your money. Contrary to that, when you are well respected, people know you on a private level; and they are more interested in what you have to contribute, rather than just your money. With that being said, I think it is better to be well respected.

In my opinion, I feel that the school systems do not kill the creativity, but opens us up to new opportunities. Teachers like a little creativity mixed in with your work. I know with my personal experience that my teachers appreciate the added effort that i put in to my work. For example, when i work on class projects, I like to add a little aspect as to who i am into my work. When you add creativity into your work, it shows the teacher that you put a lot of pride into what your working on. As a result, I would not say that schools kill creativity, but open up doors to new opportunities to expand your imagination.

I would say that it is better to be feared because when you are feared is when people respect you more! When people tremble you, in my eyes, they secretly love you. I know many people who i fear in life, but in a way, that makes me want to try harder to be their friend and love them more. When people try to be all "bad a," is when people want to push themselves into liking them more. In this world, people want to be friends with the popular people, and in this case, the people who are feared even more. So when you are feared, in my eyes, is when your loved even more.
