Anyone, no matter what they look like, can be a terrorist. Profiling someone might not get you very far, but airport officials should look for someone being supspicious. I don't think everyone should be checked because that takes too long.
A terrorist is probably smart enough not to dress in a turban and a ong beard.
There should be a very good reason for someone to be tortured. If a person tortures someone else in any way then they deserve to be tortured. If somebody is murdered then you can't just talk to the murderer and tell him not to do that or put him in prison. You have to torture him because he won't listen if you just talk to him. If he is tortured then he will probably think twice the next time he decides to murder someone.
Torturing isn't ever really "okay", but in some circumstances it can be justified.
Most students are indecisive, so if you give them an infinite amount of choices they wouldn't know what to choose and would probably end up making a bad decision. I think parents should have the major control over what school their children attend, but still take into consideration what the child wants. I know if I was given the opportunity to choose what high school I went to I would be going to Nimitz right now, but my mom made me go to MacArthur and I am glad she did. She obviously knew what was better and I didn't.
Another reason students shouldn't get to choose their high school is that one school may be a popular or a favorite school and it might become overcrowded while other schools will barely have any students. The system we have of splitting the city into different areas for each school is good for the purpose of equal schools.
If a president is a good one, then he deserves to serve longer than two terms. We should not have to worry about a bad president being in office for too long because no one will vote for him the next time or no one would have voted for them in the first place. Some people may complain about a president being in office for too long, but the majority of America would have voted for him/her.
Illegal immigrants don't have the same rights as citizens, but they also have a bit more freedom. They don't have all the responsiblity that comes with being a citizen like paying taxes. Not all, but a lot of illegal immigrants are involved in crime, sometimes because they have a harder time finding jobs and they have to resort to stealing.
I am probably a good person but I haven't taken the time to fill out my profile, so you'll never know! |
