In order to get anything in life, a person must be willing to give up something in return or as the saying goes "give to get." It is true that the U.S. did pass through many hardships to get to where it stands today, but isn't it also true that it received numerous great things in return for it all. The United States did experience war and slavery, but it also received the opportunity to experience freedom and capitalism. Not all countries that have gone to war to get their freedom, have received it, therefor their pros did not outweigh their cons. As for the U.S. if the cons did outweigh the pros then the U.S. would still be experiencing war within it self.

Although the creation of America has hurt so many lives in the past, people have pushed through all of the destruction to build up a country that can give any person freedom, and that's a great thing. America is very unique from other countries in the way that no matter who you are, regardless of race or gender, you have equal job opprotunities and personal freedoms. Despite the long span of hardships and sometimes outright cruelty people have faced through the years, citizens here have more freedom and opprotunity to succeed than citizens in any other country. This continual growth through time is worth the terrible things people have endured as it leads to a better life for all Americans in the future, along with a better understanding of the importance of equality.

I think what we have in America today is special. We have many freedoms that countries around the world are unfortunate to have. We have a fair government where the people are not threatened or harmed, as in a communist government or a dictatorship. Slaves were brought over to America with cruelty and the journey was much harder than other slave trade route, but slavery existed at that time. The Americans did not create slavery. Even in Africa, Africans enslaved other Africans. The sufferings of many types of people were wrong, but it was happening all over the world. Although we were contradictory in many things, like the Constitution when we didn't let Africans have equality, we slowly changed and mended what we did wrong in the past.

The United States pros do outwiegh the cons. All the deaths that the US has suffered has been for a good reason and a good cause.

Slavery deaths were to fight for their right to be a citizen.

Native American deaths were so we could have the land.

Every country has a differnt governtment. Our government

has 3 branches. Each one has equal power to each other.

Although the past has had the attitude of "conquer or be conquered", today there are many different approaches on how to solve differences instead of war.

Wars like the Civil war, the Native American wars, and the Revolutionary War, couldve been solved more peacefully.

America is something that cannot be taken lightly.

Most countries do not allow freedom of religion, speech, or press. Many children cannot go to school and some women do not have as many rights as a person like those in the U.S. America opens more doors for a person's future. We provide adequate education and have more opputunities to find jobs than most places do. There are many pros, here. I believe they outweigh the cons. We've given up a lot, but we have achieved what we wanted in the first place.

Sure, we did make drastic moves in order for everything to be this way. Immigration, wars, and death. We've wiped out almost an entire civilization. Still, we have come so far. Could we have become what we are without all this? Should we consider our past actions a mistake?

I believe that the pros barely outwiegh the cons, but eventhough Americans almost wiped out a civilization of people and enslaved, and later segregated, a group of people just because of their skin color, this country is on the way to having true equality. For example, America gives education to every child. A person who works hard enough can now be anything they want to be, no matter what their financial or family situations are.

I do think the pros outweigh the cons because of the society we live in today. Although we killed off indians, went through harsh times with slaves, and treated people differently because of their gender I think all of the fights, protests, and lives lost for a cause were worth it. We have freedoms and oppurtunities in America that we wouldn't have anywhere else.

I believe the pros weigh the cons. The U.S. has had many hard times in the past such as wars, prejudice, slaves and etc. All those hard times has gotten us americans to where we are today. The rights we have as americans, the job opportunitys, good education and the freedom are all worth.

Although many lives were lost and people of all races and gender struggled for the rights and freedoms of this country for hundreds of years, I think it was all worth it. Presently America is the most culturally diverse and and mixed with the most various races out all the countries in the world. People throughout the world that don't live in America wish and dream to come to a country where all races are accepted and where many opportunities and freedoms exist. Citizens here have the freedom of religion and freedom of speech and freedom to be what they want to be. I think those who passed a way and sacrificed their lives for this country would be proud to see what has came out of their sacrifice and blood shed. I am very grateful and thankful for those who gave their lives for the creation of America.

With every unfortunate event, a fortunate result comes out of it. For America to reach the point of success and struggle as of right now, with our economy hurting, families growing, and families spreading, people like us had to make it this way; sacrifices had to be made, and work had to be finished, but the bad is necessary to make the good. Without the exploration of the U.S. and the decisions of our forefathers, such as creating numerous wars, we couldn't have earned our freedom nor be able to live and realize the wonders of this established country. We have food, clothing, shelter, education, and most of all, family. Though not all of us can achieve every opportunity, there are always opportunities open for us because of the country we're able to live in.

The U.S. has made a lot of sacrifices to get where we are today, and we've fought hard to maintain all of our rights, freedoms, and pride as a nation. As a result we've become one of the greatest, if not, THE greatest nation in the world. Big whoop right? No, not right. The U.S. is so much more rich in economy, people, intelligence, and money than any other country; a benefit that most other countries do not have. Yes, we may sometimes take this for granted, but we are where we are for a reason; because all of the bloodshed and sacrifice made by those from the past. So yes, the pros do outweigh the cons.

To us in the present time, we could easily say that all 230 years of American Evolution were worth going through to obtain the "wholesome, peaceful" society that we have now. During those 230 or so years though, many would argue that all the suffering and pain to reach the ultimate goal is not worth it. What is the ultimate goal? The ideal society in which many think we live in. For example, America broke away from Britain to escape tyrannical rule of the Monarch. Today, we don't escape from monarchs, or religous opression, but from laws that some find unfair and biased. So to put it bluntly, yes, to me it was worth it, but a million years from now, it won't matter. Just as we enjoy the comforts of today, so will we endure the problems of tommorrow.

The tyranny enforced by colonists, explorers, and new Americans was equal or even worse than the tyranny in the various countries they came from. Americans have pushed their way to the top, through violence and force, because they assumed that they had the right to push aside, even kill and enslave other races. These Americans felt superior to other races because of skin color and technology, and thought only of how to conquer these 'inferiors'. We have killed, enslaved, and insulted multiple peoples to create this country, this country that is billions of dollars in debt, this country that interferes with other countries and sends our citizens to die, this country that cannot feed, clothe, and shelter, all that live in it, but asks its citizens to buy more food, more clothes, and bigger 'shelters' for themselves before those who need the basics.

I think the pros and cons are equal. There have been many bad things that have happened while trying to establish the U.S., like wars, slavery, fighting for woman's rights, ect., but the outcome of these bad events have lead to good things, which is why the U.S is now a free country.

I think the trials in America are the same as the positives. In america, in order to be where we are today, numerous people had to undergo many situations.Such as salves who were bought over from africa were made to work in fields and farmlands without any pay. Most of the time they labored in hot conditions. In addition many native Americans, we removed from their native home land, and fourced to relocate else where.

But on the contrary, although many people suffered, so we can enjoy the life we have today ,life in America is fairly good. We have freedom of speech, and the right to vote. America, is also colorful and cultural country becouse many people have migrated over here. starting form Christaphor Columbus , Lewis and Clark. It does matter what we endured to get here, but what really matters is what we make of what we have.

I feel that the cons outweigh the pros, in regard to exploration and establishment of the US, because if the bad things of the past never happened, our nation would not would not be like it is today. Some of these events that may have changed the outcome of the future were the wars for independence, the explorations of Lewis and Clark, and the arrival of many African slaves. Since there are more cons than pros, we are able to learn from the mistakes of earlier people and make sure that we dont make the same mistakes. So, the cons of the early United States ended up turning to pros in the end.

I don't think that the pros outweigh the cons in the establishment of the U.S. Yes, we do have more freedoms and oppurtunities than most of other countries in this world, but at the cost of so many sacrificed lifes lost. This country has gone many hardships, but I feel like in the end all of those hardships are not entirely worth it.

The pros in the end, do not outweigh the cons of this country's establishment. We didn't have to exile native americans , have slavery, or have restrictions on women to have a successful country like most people thought back then. Most of those actions only eventually led to a war, fight, or hardship on this country which didn't help at all. The way I look at it, if the U.S. didn't have many of those cons, we could of just had a better country earlier and longer and maybe our country would be better today than it is now.
