Yes, I think they should be forced because they will need to bring up there grades so they will pass 7th or 8th grade. If they have zero's ASI will help them bring it up.

Side: Yes

yes, I think its a good think because you will start to fail for all the zeros you will get, I'm pretty sure the teachers here don't want to see us again next year. Plus who wants to sit after school for like 5 hours?

Side: Yes

yes i think students should go to ASI for incompleted work, because it motivates you to get your work done. And that's why I make sure that I get my homework done, because I don't wanna spend an hour of my life in silence & boredom. What I don't think is fair is assigning someone because of a grade they got on a test, like as an example my friend got an 68 on a test and was assigned ASI for it. You should be given the chance to re-do it then if not, get ASI.

Kids who don't do their work deserve to be in ASI. If they have all the time to do their work at home they shouldn't have a excuse. Wouldn't you do your ahead of time to stay out of trouble. It teaches the kid to do their work and turn it in on time. Most kids don't like to stay after school for an assignment, so staying after school will keep kids doing their work. Some kids will learn to not procrastinate on assignments.

They need to be in ASI so they can get help by the teachers the need to get help by. because the teachers are spending there time by staying after school and helping you.and some teachers don't have time in the morning cause they have too many kid's in the class or their at meeting.

Side: Yes

Yes, because you didn't do your work so you have to take responsibilty. If you are struggling and you fail really badly maybe a teacher has to put you in so they can tutor you and help. Going might give the person to try harder and have good work effort. The teachers made intervention so they could have more times, and days to help you. I know intervention seems bad or boring but if you go it might change you into a more responsible person. We should have our freedom but still you should manage your time more wisely. So stop for a moment and think, what would the world be like if we all were lazy and didn't do our work.

Side: Yes

Yes because it will not be fair to other people the finish their homework. If they don't people will never do there homework.

Side: Yes

I do agree with the fact of having after school intervention because it leaves thought to the kids that won't do there work because of just not doing it or preferring to do something else.

I thank that student should go to ASI becaus it teaches students that you need to get all of your work done. If you fines all your work in there then must have had time to fines it at home.

Side: Yes

Yes, students should be forced to go to ASI for not completing an assignment because that gives some sort of motivation to try. If no one forces some people to try they never will. Forcing people to go to ASI is good for their future.

Side: No

Yes i also think it can help kids in the future to do their work. They ail also get tired of getting in trouble.

I think that students should not be forced to attend ASI. I was sent to ASI one day because i was absent and missed a test and i was forced to go. I don't think it was fair because i was never told to go to the testing center, so instead of telling me i was assigned ASI. I think kids should only go to ASI if they don't do their homework, they shouldn't have changed detention.

The teacher sholud not have to tell you that you have to go you should just go if you did not finish your test.

Side: Yes

No, if kids didn't complete their work then why do they need to have extra time? The new rules are it has to be 100% complete. What if the child didn't understand a problem so they didn't finish that problem. Well see, now it's not 100% completed and you get ASI. That isn't fair. They have to go to ASI to redo the WHOLE thing even though they completed most of it. Kids would've already seen the answers and remember it so they can just write down the answers and be done. Some kids don't understand so they go to ask for help but the teacher just says you can get help in intervention to get help. There is not enough teachers to help each individual student. Many kids have things that they have to do after school and have to cancel it because of intervention. I am in theatre and we have rehearsals after school and my teacher gets really mad when we have to skip our rehearsal to go to intervention. You sit there for an hour and a half to complete work you can do in like 30 minutes. Then you just sit there for an hour doing nothing. What do you get out of sitting there and doing nothing?

We are teenagers we need our freedom!!!!And we are just going through the responsibility of being young adults. Some teachers give a lot a work for kids and its due tomorrow some kids have after school activities like football, band, theatre, hockey in my case. And we are gone for a long time we get tired so if we are trying to do our work than its gonna be bad anyway. And if some one didnt do one question than they have to do the whole thing again!!

We are free, but our freedom has limitations to them. If we could do anything we want we wouldn't have rules or ASI.

William, we should have our freedom, but what would the world be like if we didn't turn our work and were all lazy. Intervention can help your grades and your teachers can have time to tutor. This can help you! BOOM!

yes, i think people should get ASI,as we mature we need to we need to take responsibility for are actions. If we don't finish the work we are assigned to do chance is that your probably going to fail the grade you are currently in, and ASI gives you the chance to get you grade up higher than it really is.The thing that i don't agree on is after you finish your work you have to stay for an hour doing nothing.Students should be able to leave as soon as they finish there work.

i think that school should come befor any thing else like sports and any after school activities.

Side: Yes
2 points

No because i think the student should have a choice. Yes they didn't do their homework but a student should have a choice of what they want to do. If they don't want to be responsible then thats their problem. Nobody should be forced to do what they don't want to do. I think if people want to be responsible or wanna do something good in their life they should do it their selfs. Be independent.

Side: No
2 points

No because teachers should be able to give a couple of minutes at the beginning of class. like okay a student didn't do their homework but why send them to ASI when you can just send them outside to complete it or to redo it. teachers should really just give some time at the end of class like ten minutes to start on their homework and give about five minutes at the beginning of class the next day to make sure the student finished it but if they didn't why don't they just send him outside.

Side: No
1 point

No, because if the student doesn't know the answer then they will leave it blank. If they don't know the answer the day it is due then of coarse they ask the teacher, but if you tell the teacher that you don't understand it then the teacher tells you that you need to go to ASI just to learn it more so you will understand. Some people don't have parents at home to come pick them after school so that is a big problem.

It doesn't matter sarah, because you should still try, intervention will give a chance to have one on one tutoring and help your grades. If you don't go it won't give you the help and your lesson won't be learned!
