it all comes down to the student if they choose to not do anything about there grades and just want to fail let them fail. If they dont want to be successful in middle school what makes you think there going to care in high school or college where there are double the distractions. Side: No

I think that if you don't do your homework, your grade will reflect that, but if you don't do it 5 times, you should get detention. Some students work hard and have good grades but might forget about a homework assignment. Then they get detention when they don't need any help. Also, if you don't understand the homework, you can get a teacher to tutor you for 30 minutes. Detention is almost 2 hours and is boring. Side: No

No because what if they only forgot to do 1 question?, what if they have very important things to do the next day? then they will miss that and there parents may call the school to complain. Ive gotten ASI before, but to make ask 3:45 to 5:30, i mean really nobody i know needs THAT much time to do something. Side: No

i think if a student does not complete there work they should be responsible and redo i themselves. and if they don't, then they should get the grade they deserve. giving them an ASI is forcing them to redo it. they are not leaning anything because the will keep doing it, and keep redoing it in ASI! Most teachers are abusing detention. they are sending kids to detention or not doing one question or if you don't get a good grade they are acting as if they need to fill the detention room. Ever since the school changed the amount of days the school has detention there are way more kids in the room. The school has made more days for more chances to get your missed assignments or questions that they didn't get the shouldn't be forced to go to an after school "punishment" Side: No

No, because students might have trouble with the assignment and need help on it. They might have questions and then when they get to class the teacher gives that person ASI and the person/kid tells then they needed help on it and they start to talk about it but then that person still have ASi. So i think student shouldn't have ASI for not completing an assignment. Side: No

i think that you shouldn't because what if you just didn't finish a couple questions cause you didn't understand them so you were waiting to ask about them during class. also if you just completely forget about your homework and its the first time you've done that you shouldn't get ASI. they should just get a redo for a 85 but if they continue not to do there homework or they have a wole week or weekend and haven't completed nothing thats another thing and then they should get ASI.
