Should developed countries force developing countries to protect the environment

If forcing developing countries to protect their surroundings engenders result of a good and improved environment, then thats for a good cause. Developed countries are more enriched and improved therefore they can help the developing countries transform slowly to a finer country. Developing countries benefit a lot from engaging with advanced and well established countries. If these countries forced other immature countries to conserve their natural resources, use cleaner production technologies, manage resource supply and demand better and slow population growth then it is protecting the environment and making it every bit closer to being developed.

Sure, Developedcountries could mind their own business, and leave their own matters into their own hands, including this issue on pollutiong, but in this case, if the developing countries don't begin to take the initiative on a stronger world, then how will the human beings of this world be twenty yers from now? Where will the global surface that you're on top of right now be? Under water, because of global warming? Not if you (the developed country) take a stand, and help the developing countries.. well.. "develop" into a stronger unity.

I believe that a developed country does not have the right to impose a specific rule on a developing country or take away any kind of service they provide, because they want them to take some sort of action. Each country has it's own rules and its own regulations which other countries, if superior economically or technologically should not mess with, but rather respect. Just because some developed countries have advantages that developing countries don't, It does not give them the right to force them into doing something they are not willing to.

Developed countries have no right to force developing countries to protect the environment when they don't protect the environment themselves. We brag about how environmentally friendly we are when we drive gas-guzzling cars, litter, smoke, and buy wasteful items. Hypocrisy is not something to be proud of. Developed countries should help developing countries to develop, and we should work together to protect the environment, not force each other to care.
