i think it is needed because more people have been stealing things from the school and teachers. So it seems that they need to keep a better eye on the whole school and if the easiest way to do that is place more cameras the school has the right to, but their also is a limit to that. Side: needed

Granted it helps stop some things from happening, but it honestly doesn't prevent them all together. People will still find places to fight, or commit illegal acts. and the teachers only write referrals and send students to the office, which really only makes them mad, it doesn't really stop or prevent students from doing what they were doing. I see no problem with the new video surveillance at the school. It should not bother anyone that isn't doing something that is against the schools polices or even worse the law, which would be the purpose of the school putting them up. It is also good to see that the school is trying to make the place somewhat safer. Side: needed
I think the camera's are a good thing for Mac, or any school for that matter. This will help the administration find students that are doing something they are not suppose to be doing at school. This can also benefit the students for example, if they are accused for doing something they had nothing to do with, If one of their belongings were stolen, and if a fight breaks out. Side: needed

I believe it is unwarranted because there really is no need for the cameras to be everywhere. I can understand having them placed in unsupervised areas or where people may be exchanging money or something of that nature but to have them everywhere including places noone can actually go is kind of ridiculous. Cameras needed? No i don`t think so, Having cameras in the school wouldn't and will not work. Students find all kinds of ways to do things there no suppose to, without getting caught. Some people who think that the security cameras can prevent fights are wrong, because am pretty sure none of the security cops, principals, teachers or any administrators at the school are watching any of these cameras. It really doesnt make any difference. The cameras can not prevent fights, because a student that really wants to fight a certain person, will fight no madder what. Though, they might help when there is a stranger in the school. It would make it easy to locate the person and put him or her out of the school. But my opinion stay the same the cameras are really not that needed. Side: Unwarranted (uncalled for)
I mean, they can put camera's in the school, but not so many. The camera's are a good use to the school because some of these student's up here is crazy. Then they can get to the situation faster and quicker without waiting to find where their at. Side: Unwarranted (uncalled for)
I think that it is uncalled for to be having cameras all over the school. Yeah I understand that there are a few places where it's meant to be. But I don't think that it's necessary to just have three cameras in one corner! I personally think that we should have at least one camera for the end of the hallways.
